The Reheart Revival - Fighting Shadows
Fighting Shadows
I lose sleep to silent screams,
Dragged beneath my own beliefs.
They rise when I’m alone,
When the room is loud, but I feel unknown.
They dress like my past—
Say I won’t last.
I’m fighting shadows
Shaped like fear,
Whispers louder
Than the voices near.
They live in doubt,
They feed on dread—
But I’m not dead,
I fight instead.
There’s a voice that sounds like me
Saying things I shouldn’t believe.
It crawls in when I’m awake,
It grows with every breath I take.
I breathe through panic,
Stand through dread,
Dance with ghosts
That live in my head.
I’m fighting shadows
Shaped like fear,
Whispers louder
Than the voices near
They live in doubt,
They feed on dread—
But I’m not dead,
I fight instead.
I’m fighting shadows
Night and day,
Not for glory—
Just to stay.
They don’t bleed,
But they do scar—
Still, I fight,
And that’s how strong hearts are.
