An early autumn day
Clouds hang low, looks like it might rain
All the trees are changing clothes
Throwing on their winter coats

We’ve been on this ferris wheel
Up and down, going round and round
Watching seasons come and go
While dreaming of something more

Take my hand at the crack of dawn
Don’t know ‘bout you honey but I’m ready to run
Into the great unknown there is no time like now
Don’t worry ‘bout money we will figure it out
I’m sure

We can buy that old American car
That for long we have dreamt about
Build a cabin by the lake
Miles and miles away

Live off the fat of the land
People’ll talk think we’ve lost the plot
But we won’t care what they say
It’s just noise anyway
